It would be an INJUSTICE if this series DIDN'T go seven.

Apparently Patrice Bergeron's injury is spleen-related according to reports.

LOLOLOLOL TORONTO YOU JUST OVERPAID AND YOU'RE GONNA REGRET IT That's what I thought. Didn't Reimer earn the starting job?

It would be an INJUSTICE if this series DIDN'T go seven. I would love to see the Hawks win it on home ice! But, if you can get a win and wrap this up in Boston, you take it, and the Cup. All those years of losing and suffering a really greedy Bill Wirtz makes this all the more worth it.

Wait, I didn't see that the second round draft pick was included, at least not in the first report of the trade that I saw. Yeah, I think LA won the trade, but who knows, maybe Bernier will pay off!

I think the Jets, Islanders, and Flames need goaltending more. (Before anyone says anything re: my inclusion of the Jets, Pavelec is the worst starting goalie in the league to be honest)

I wonder if any of those teams have any interest in Luongo...

I wonder if any of those teams have any interest in Luongo... They probably would if it wasn't for that insane contract. If Vancouver paid part of it maybe. There are some viable, cheaper free agents out there. Also Mike Smith...

(Before anyone says anything re: my inclusion of the Jets, Pavelec is the worst starting goalie in the league to be honest) I'm going with total disagreement to the overpayment/lack of need. That you only named three teams (and had to defend one choice) that you thought needed a goalie more than Toronto (which are all pretty accurate, except NYI has two interesting prospects coming up) is telling of that. It suggests 26 teams have a better goalie than Reimer. He's always out of position, has terrible rebound control is getting killed glove side. Relying on athleticism is a pretty short term career path for NHL goalies.I would guess Reimer will be back in the AHL in two years. On the other hand, I think long term Bernier has the potential to be a top 5 goalie. He might not ever reach it, but that's why he started for Canada in the world juniors and that's why he was a first rounder. Even if he only becomes an average starting goalie, a 2nd liner, a scrap heap goalie and a 2nd rounder isn't much to give up.

From Darren Dreger's Twitter account:
"Some rumblings Phaneuf may be in play. Nonis says he will trade just about anyone, but says no one has called on the captain...yet"

Also, nice pickup by Montreal signing Ben Duffy and a couple other QMJHL players!
