Two instant classics to kick off these Finals. I dig it.

Lack of a center besides Toews is killing the Hawks right now. Powerplay is awful. I would be surpised if the Bruins don't take more penalty chances. If they get a lead tonight, this could be over. Hawks need this one bad.

To say it in public would suggest they don't want to do that either (otherwise, just keep their yaps shut and draft the forward you want, creating a cascade of confusion for the following picks). I'd guess they'd be willing to trade to FLA, TB or NSH and end up with one of those top for picks plus an extra piece. TB is probably happy with any of the top four as well, but if NSH moved into 1st, they would likely end up taking MacKinnon, which would be good for them and totally screw over FLA (unless they would be as happy with another pick). So the idea that that could happen might be enough to force FLA to give something up just to get the guy they were going to get if the trade didn't happen. Anytime these guys say something publicly, it's to place media pressure on the other GMs.

Apparently Barkov is Colorado's first choice... interesting...

If they really think that, they should just draft him. If they start moving around, you never know, if whoever trades for that first pick takes Nathan, then maybe Florida goes for Barkov since their depth in the middle is terrible.

I think that any one of those 4 guys will probably be an excellent franchise player for whichever team selects them, but yeah, if you really want him, get him without any hesitation.

tracking.si.com/2013/06/19/red-wings-detroit-new-arena/The Detroit Red Wings are looking to build a new arena that would replace the Joe Louis Arena. It would seat 18,000 people and be located near Comerica Park and Ford Field. The total cost is estimated at $650 million, with $283 million of that coming from public funds, and the rest private.
