They were on ESPN today trying to compare the NBA's HEAT to the Blackhawks... seriously what the Blackhawks are doing is completely unprecedented. I hate them as much or more than any NHL team now, but I am seriously enjoying this run they are on and just enjoying being able to see something that i'll probably never see again, regardless of who the team is. The NBA always has one of the big teams (Lakers, Heat, Bulls, Celtics, Mavs) on some kind of streak. The NBA has NO parity at all. Heck I'd rather watch the basketball league in Canada. In the last two games, the Canucks have managed to lose to the Blue Jackets and got scored on by Scott Gomez.

In other news: there is an arrest warrant in Hillsborough County, Florida. A man going by the name of "Al Montoya" was seen stealing a game at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Any sightings of this "Al Montoya" character should be reported to authorities; he's expected to be in Broward County tomorrow.
In all seriousness, great game by the Jets. Shoutout to the Big Dog on his first as a Jet!

Colin Wilson with 2g, 2a tonight and the Preds are whipping the Oilers 6-0 with 3 mins left.
Zach Boychuk also scored in his first game as a Pred and Bobby Butler has drawn two penalties. So the waiver pickups are contributing right away.

...wait, Butler is a Pred now? when did this happen? Poile claimed Butler and Boychuk on waivers this week, called up Vic Bartley and sent Matt Halischuk down. Seems to have sparked the team if this game was any indication... of course it was the Oilers  |

Blackhawks finally lost 1. It had to happen. Still, 21-1 is not too shabby, lol. Now if they would bring Pirri up so I can use him in NLHS next year. And getting the Stanley Cup back in Chicago will be nice. Hope they can destroy Detroit and Vancouver in the playoffs. That would be sweet.

Apparently the Jets want to host a Heritage Classic at Investors Group Field in 2016. Vancouver is rumored to be the host of the next one in 2014. That would be a dream for me for the Jets to host the Heritage Classic game at the new Bombers stadium.. have driven by the stadium a few times... beautiful one and would love to watch a football game there finally after a few years... If the Jets can break out the old WHA Jets jerseys that would be great! |
