On that Daugavins attempt, you see a lot of guys trying the stick on top of the puck in beer league, not just on shootout, but to stickhandle through traffic. I always thought it was a cheap BS move and figured there was some language in the NHL rulebook that prohibited it. If there isn't, and more player try something like this, I bet that it gets added.
