I think Toronto will always have corporate dollars coming in. Having the arena within walking distance of the economic centre of Canada is going to keep the seats sold out at outrageous prices. Where they would be likely to loose some money is the next generation of fans.
Quebec is a pretty likely place for a team to go, with the new arena being built. Seattle is in the same boat.
It also wouldn't blow my mind if they put a team in London, England.

Damn -- Hawks lose to wild 3-2 in SO. Time to regroup for Vancouver. Sure hope Lu plays.
Watched some of the Sens game to watch KC Scout Craig Anderson. Hey Ryan, can we just rerate him now, lol.

I do hope the NHL can return to Quebec City.. would love to see a Habs vs Nords rivalary revived for sure... as for a Markham arena and team?? Ahh I dunno on that, and for Seattle that would be cool to see that.. wonder what the names would be for Markham and Seattle, as well as we would be sure that Quebec will bring back the Nordiques name...

For some odd reason, the name Markham Saints has been stuck in mind ever since the Markham City Council approved the arena deal. I don't know why, I just like it. As for Seattle, I don't know what name they should have. Totems, perhaps?

I like Seattle Thunder. Cross country showdown between the Thunder and Lightning.

Heard the name Metropolitans could be used for Seattle as a nod to the past... Totems also a good name to use..

Preds vs Kings tonight...
Prior to every game, the Preds facebook page has a "Guess The First Goal" contest... most of the answers for tonight are "Nobody" lol

TIL that you can't stand up for your teammate who gets hit in the head. Fuck you Upshall you fucking coward. And a pat on the back to James Wright for standing up for his teammate

Wow, Preds get 14 shots (11 in regulation, 8 from defensemen). One goal (From Brandon Yip)... and the win?? lol
This team is pretty terrible, but lucky.

Ray Emery with an unbelievable 45 saves as the Hawks netminder redeems himself from his 1st game and steals one from Calgary. Hawks win 3-2 in OT!

Two games in a row now that the Preds have scored just one goal... and won!
Even crazier? it was over LAK and SJS.

FUN WITH NUMBERS:
Last night the AHL's Connecticut Whale (based in Hartford) drew more fans than the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. The Whale drew 13,239 fans to their 3-2 loss to Springfield, while Phoenix drew 12,151 to their win over Dallas.
EDIT: Quebec Remparts drew over 14,000 to their loss last night to Blainville-Boisbriand as well
