Last Thread had passed 1,000 posts and that's a pretty good point to close it down and start up a new one just to keep it from getting way out of hand. So continue the discussion here!

I've been posting a bit on here about my long-term plans for NLHS and creating a better site and our own sim engine, well...
I made a huge decision and commitment to go back to school and earn a second degree, completed my enrollment and assessments this weekend. This time in something more practical, Computer Information Systems. Not only will this benefit me personally and financially by opening up new career opportunities to help support my family... but another benefit will be to NLHS as I will get legitimate training in web design and programming, all of which I will of course apply to the website and simulation to make it the best that it can possibly be. So over the next couple of seasons you can expect several improvements based on the new skills that I will be learning!

Awesome decision Ryan! I guess great minds really do think alike, we're both getting degrees in some sort of computer course of course I haven't taken any web design classes, but I've taken 3 years of Java and take the AP exam on Tuesday.

Helping NLHS is just icing on the cake. The important part is, it will open up more opportunities for you and your family. Good for you, Ryan It's going to be hard, but what isn't hard that's worth it.

If you had them you know what im talking about, braces fucking suck

I had them in middle school, and yes I definitely agree with you!!!
But worse than the braces is if you have to wear a retainer after the braces come off. It's so irritating.

I lost my retainer earlier this week, but considering I've worn it since 7th grade, it's probably not a big issue

And in unrelated news, I finally came up with a female middle name (I've known, and used, the first name for a while). So there's that.

Oyy what a day today... was going to work with deaf client today as i am deaf support service worker.. and what do I do before that shift starts?? Run into a speeding radar cop who motioned me to pull out.. and give me a ticket.. geez last speeding ticket I had was back in 2009 (after the 2nd one I had to smarten up and drive carefully till now.. blah) but seems that is the thing, the cop out on a speed radar game as is usually the case every time almost.. for money grab, mind ya... blah oh well lesson to be learnt from this now..

I've been pulled over 4 times in 16 years of driving.
first was for speeding, I paid $68 and went to a class to keep it off my record.
second was for running a red light, but I was actually going around a wreck and by the time I made it around and was in the intersection the light had turned. Once I pointed out to the officer that there was a wreck that he needed to attend to he politely let me go on my way.
third was also for speeding, and I also didn't have any identification or proof of insurance with me as I had rushed out of the house and forgot it that morning. The officer must have felt bad for me and didn't give me a ticket, all I had to do was show up to the station later that day and present my identification and everything was thrown out.
fourth was for having a headlight out and it was just a warning.
So overall I would say i've been pretty lucky with the traffic police!
