OILERS DEFEAT BEASTS 2-1 FOR 8TH STRAIGHT KUEMPER STOPS 39 OF 40 SHOTS IN THE VICTORY
by Joe Hackett Oilers Beat Reporter
The Oilers picked up right where they left off in their 1st game back from the Olympic break. Hudler scored his 38th and will probably be a Scout next season. Noeson had the game winner, his 13th on the campaign. Kuemper is now 8-1-0 for Tulsa.
The struggling Thunder visit Tulsa Wednesday. Wichita is rapidly falling out of the playoff picture, and will surely be out for bear vs. the Oilers. The Oilers will be a target for everyone now, given the win streak. It will be interesting to see how they respond. They have been playing to packed houses recently, and for good reason, the way they have been playing.

Benoit had a hattrick of Powerplay goals. Pirri with 2 goals. Scheifele with a goal and 3 assists. Scheifele picked a fight with Arnott and lost, but good on him, as this probably stopped the momentum the Metros had in the middle of the 3rd period.
Kuemper improves to 11-1-1 with the Oilers. The trappers visit Tulsa next.

by Joe Hackett Oilers Beat Reporter
This was a big win for the Thunder, who are in danger of slipping out of the playoff picture. A big 4 goal 2nd period for Wichita.
Curiously, the Thunder, despite having 2 powerplays, did not even manage any shots on goal in the 3rd period. For the Oilers, Joe Morrow had a nice game with a shorthanded goal plus an assist.
The Oilers visit the Crackpipes next, and each game is important now as they try to catch the T-Birds and Billionaires as the season heads to the finish.

OILERS 3 - HOWL 1 PIRRI HATTRICK CARRIES TULSA TO VICTORY
Brandon Pirri is making a strong case to be re-signed and will probably be joining the Kansas City Scouts along with Oiler teammate Jiri Hudler (2 A today) next season. The Scouts organization has said they intend to do so. The Scouts look to be much improved, with no shortage of secondary scoring next season. The Oilers needed this win, as they hace been flat recently, and are trying to gain momentum heading into the farm playoffs.
The Oilers have broken attendance records in Tulsa this season. They are looking to make some noise in the farm playoffs and certainly are capable of doing so. There have been times this year they have looked unstoppable, and Darcy Kuemper has played well for them after struggling during several call-ups to the big club. The Oilers need to keep winning to keep the #3 spot in the conference, which is tightening up behind them.

Nobody has clinched yet in the tight farm Western Conference. The Oilers are trying to keep their #3 spot. It is unlikely they can move up, but they could fall so they need to keep the wins coming. The Oilers need to beat the Bisons Sunday.
