Just the THOUGHT of Vinny in a non-Lightning, non-Canada jersey is just awkward

There's no doubt that it would be very weird, but if he went to Montreal, I don't think it would be as weird as say, Toronto, or even Calgary.

Occasionally. I'll have to check out the results. Mantha would be a good pick for them. Aligns with the drafting philosophy they've put out there the past few years.

Jets D Toby Enstrom was robbed and assaulted at an ATM in Sweden. Needed stitches above his eye.

Pre-Draft notes:
Sergei Bobrovsky is on the market. He is looking for $6 million a year in his contract. Columbus is obviously now in the market for a goalie.
Carolina has a few offers for the 5th overall pick. They're likely to make a trade just before the draft gets underway.
Pittsburgh is close to a new deal with Kris Letang worth 58 million over 8 years. (Average of 7.25 a year.)

From Darren Dreger's Twitter account:
"Marc Bergevin predicts he will be busy. He still sees an opportunity to move up in Draft. Habs have 1 player in mind they want to draft."

Montreal will try to trade the negotiating rights for Michael Ryder before July 5, although I don't understand why they think they'd be able to get much, if anything, for him.

Vincent Lecavalier has many teams interested in his services, such as Montreal, Dallas, Anaheim, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Detroit, Toronto, San Jose, Ottawa, Boston, Nashville and Calgary.
Teams have inquired about Tomas Plekanec's availability with Montreal. It's worth noting that St. Louis is in the market for a top-line centre, but it's unknown if they've spoken about Plekanec. David Perron is the main player being mentioned as St. Louis' trade bait.

So now apparently the Blue Jackets are close to a new deal with Bobrovsky? Wut?
