There's a reason why they've made the playoffs every season since 1991!

They can take the last player in the draft and make a servicable NHL'er out of them. Well, Jonathan Ericcson WAS the last player in the 2002 draft.... Also notable last picks of drafts: -Gerry Meehan, 1963 -Paul Maurice, 1985 (never played due to injury and soon became a coach) -Kim Johnsson, 1994 -Patric Hornqvist, 2005 Brian Elliott was second-last picked in 2003.

John Tortorella is out as head coach of the New York Rangers. Thoughts?

Good. His abrasive style wears thin after a few years.

I love the Stars' new jerseys!
Also, Sidney Crosby's jaw to start game 3 in net for the Penguins, considering it's the only thing that can stop a puck

I don't dig it, not one bit. I mean, it's not Mooterus bad, but they didn't need to change the jerseys. The black stripes are generic and aren't the best compliment to that shade of green. Change for the sake of change is lame. Now, if they were a new team, or the previous jerseys were clearly dated, I'd think they were okay, but not in these circumstances.

Carolina's changes weren't monumental, so even though it was change for the sake of change, it could be worse.

The Stars DID need to change. Their old jerseys were some of the worst in the league. No striping, bland colors, no crest.
This look has a solid color, classical striping, a crest that isn't horrid, and it's unique. Outside of Minnesota's alternate, no other team has a green jersey. Unless you count teal as green.
Carolina's are MUCH MUCH better. They were way too cluttered before. Piping killed that jersey. I would've liked to keep the alternate on the shoulders or something, but I guess this means the alt is staying.
