Montreal almost shits the bed again, but eakes out a win!

Andrew Ladd was the only Jet to show up tonight.

That's okay, I think Columbus has a clown car parked out back at all times, when they fire a staff member they just grab the next clown to fill his position. But a clown from Finland? This could actually make things interesting in Columbus.

I actually think Jarmo Kekalainen is a pretty solid pick as GM.

Oh yeah, there's no question about that. I can easily see Columbus having a quick turnaround and becoming successful.

John Davidson is going to take that franchise places. They mean business now. Kekalainen is going to be respected almost immediately.

Tangradi for a bag of pucks? I love this. Low risk, HIGH reward.

Tangradi for a bag of pucks? I love this. Low risk, HIGH reward. Hope they give him more playing time. I need some of my farm hands to contribute to the big club next year. Right now, it's looking like Tangradi on LW and Miller on RW might be okay. I like Marcus Kruger, and he was very good on the PK for the Hawks last night...But he cannot win a faceoff to save his life. I don't understand why Brandon Pirri is still in Rockford. Hawks have Toews, but really have lacked a 2nd line center for a long time. Bolland is not it, and Coach Q - please don't put Kane at C and screw him up. He looks like he is going to have a terrific season.

The Winnipeg Jets have traded Alexei Ponikarovsky to the New Jersey Devils for a 7th Round Pick in 2013 and a 4th Round Pick in 2014.

So the Jets basically get Tangradi and a 4th round pick for Ponikarovsky (the 7th rounders cancel each other out).
I'm cool with that

Tough break for Ottawa. I'd trade Anderson ASAP. This year is over.

Pekka Rinne with his 3rd shutout already this season. 1.75GAA and .934 SV% (before tonight's shutout)... His re-rate will be amazing if he keeps this up.
Although he's already pretty darn good, do I spend a re-rate on him? Tough decisions!

So TWO bullshit penalties (one on Redmond for interference when Adams tried a selfpass and Redmond played the body, and one on Stuart for tripping Letang...while Stu was grabbing a stick off the bench) cost the Jets a point against Pittsburgh.
League lapdogs indeed. At least NBC's other darlings (Det/Chi/Bos/Phi) earned it by being good and not having a prettyboy and a Russian who makes their overrated teammates (Neal in particular) look good when they're NOT that good.
