Jets lose an ugly one 3-1, but at least Hutchinson wasn't bad and Halischuk played his ass off.

Time for the Florida Panthers to move somewhere where many fans will flock good enough to fill up the arena.. maybe Quebec City would be ideal somehow??

In the Panthers' defense:
1) it was 2:30 pm 2) on a weekday 3) for a preseason game 4) against a team not even in their conference 5) in South Florida 6) as the first half of a doubleheader (they play again now)

and yeah, it's weird to see a fan of a Canadian team defending the Southern teams...but now that the whole Phoenix gongshow is over, I really could care less about what happens with off-ice shit. I feel really bad for the Thrashers fans, the team never had a chance with the owners they had. (also, I have a soft spot for the Florida teams, moreso Tampa though...which is part of why you saw me draft two Bolts yesterday in WHL)
Weird how Bettman went out of his way to save the Coyotes yet basically let the Thrashers rot

Portland maybe? I heard rumblings about Saskatoon but it's too small.
Houston could potentially work too. The Aeros only left because Les Alexander is a douchewaffle. They were 7th in AHL attendance.
KC is a wild card
Vegas = debacle waiting to happen
a shitload of "too small/no arena" cities

unrelated: Dmitry Orlov is playing on a pair with Tomas Kundratek in the Caps' exhibition game tonight. They're on rival NLHS teams.
That's fucking great

KC is a wild card Vegas = debacle waiting to happen a shitload of "too small/no arena" cities Saskatoon is way too small, Winnipeg is like three times bigger than them too. Still hilarious that the Blues had a chance of moving there in 1983, I think it was. Houston has the sheer size to have a team with decent support, I think that they could manage as well as the other somewhat successful southern NHL teams. Kansas City I feel could become another Atlanta. (Sorry Dan) Vegas just should stick to exhibition games... In Seattle I say it's a matter of when, not if. I think they'll get an expansion team awarded within the next two years. Portland is another city that could jump in right away with a suitable arena, and I know there are big money people there with interest. *cough*PaulAllen*cough*
