Despite my earlier post about the late season success of the Legion... can't say that i'm not a little shocked to dismiss the Mariners who looked like a championship contender.
Dan Cleary went into beast mode upon being promoted to the 2nd line, the Mariners didn't have an answer for the Cleary/Erat combination. The veteran Newfie puts up 2 goals and 4 assists in game 5 and 6, carrying the load when Tavares was shut down.
Now to sit back, rest up for Sunday and enjoy the THREE game seven's that will be played on Friday!

Also, congratulations to the Mariners on an awesome regular season, the kids that Justin has groomed to lead his team are the real deal and with the chance to add another stud or two in the dispersal draft, i'm going to consider that team to be the favorites for another President's trophy in NLHS4.

Great series Ryan. Am I disappointed that we lost? Yes. But we didn't go down without a fight. This is a young team and next year after moving Burns to forward, getting re-rates on Matthias and Moore, and getting Bennett eligible, will have upgraded their forwards, and also kept most of the D together (as Burns moves up, Moore takes his spot).
Good luck to all the remaining playoff teams! Can't wait for the draft!

No point in dwelling what could've happened if Lehner played the whole game. When you fall behind 4-0 in the second you flat-out don't deserve to win.

Rookie mistake, he will hopefully learn from that one today and keep his cool in the future.
But you're right, it didn't decide today's game, it was a defensive meltdown in the first 4 minutes of the second period that iced the M's.

We fought back, but it was a day late & a dollar short. But honestly, Lehner's playoff performance is the reason why Elliott's on the block. (Again, if anyone's interested....fire me an e-mail.)

The Jets are aiming to come back from a 3-0 deficit. That would be pretty impressive.

Tempted to make an offer because Elliott is my WHL goalie... but that Pekka Rinne guy is probably going to be starting in Philly for a long time.

Holy fart!!!!!! the Hornets in the first three games out scored the Jets 18 to 6. Now the last three games being out scored 15 to 5! Nothing has changed in the line ups for both teams during these games so i am really confused on what is going on!!!! What a complete meltdown and not sure what to say!!!!
