Like a few, I don't watch much tv anymore either.. but when I do:
Now:
Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Workaholics
Favs:
Trailer Park Boys Kids In The Hall News Radio Married With Children Doctor Who The Wizard Little Britain
I'm sure there's more but those are off the top of my head, Id be surprised if anyone has heard of The Wizard (not the movie with Fred Savage, tv show with a crime fighting brainiac midget lol)

DDD is a good show. Guy came here to Hendersonville once to a place called Cafe Rakka, I haven't been there because it's always packed but my wife loves it.

We're watching the movie version of The Kite Runner in my English class. The book was fantastic, the movie though, not so much. It leaves out so much, and doesn't do it justice, not to mention that what they did put in, they screwed around with the order of events.

That was an excellent book. I think like so many other adaptations, you can't possibly get everything into a two hour movie. It also screws around with pacing.
I watched Hunger, about a hunger strike in an Irish jail, the other day, which I thought was great. The use of silence in that film was tremendous. Even moreso than Moon or The Shining, which are also very good.

It seems like people either love or hate that show. I love it.

I must be busy since getting full-time hours and helping my wife with the pregnancy... I realized that I haven't watched a new movie since May, and this is the first day in that time that I have had NOTHING to do on a day off.
So I fit two films in today:
1. The Prankster - 2010: This one was nothing to rave about. It was a high school movie about kids learning who they really are and want to be. In a lot of ways, the characters are more realistic in the things they do and say than in other similar movies. I probably would have liked this one a lot more if I was 15 years younger.
2. Elizabeth: The Golden Age - 2007: A terrific movie that fit an intriguing drama around a foundation of a biography. It follows Elizabeth I in the lead up to invasion from Spain. I haven't researched the historic accuracy yet, but I really liked everything about this movie, the sets, the costumes, the acting.

It seems like people either love or hate that show. I love it. Its the uneducated or right wing people that hate it. Amazing show. When Dan Rather who is arguably the best anchor of his time says this shows a hit and then says it portrays the media in an accurate manner thats says a lot. Also Suits restarts tonight which is awesome seeing as it is my favourite show (right above The Newsroom)
