Watched "Hackers" (1995) this morning. Pretty good, but doesn't really stand up in 2013. I have a feeling this movie was a lot better when it came out and most people didn't know anything about computers. If you can overlook the obvious technology flaws in the movie, the plot is enough to stay interesting.

Today I watched "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" (2006). It was one of those movies that was really forced as they tried to flesh out one small idea into a full movie. Somewhat original, but wasn't terribly interesting and not really any laughs even though it was billed as a comedy.
On the positive side, Workaholics was hilarious this week... as usual.

Today I watched "Monsters" (2010). Seems like a movie that a lot of film-geeks would poke a bunch of holes in, but I actually really liked it a lot more than I should have. Good music and decent plot are helped by seeing a very hot Whitney Able on screen for 90 minutes. Also no stupidly forced moments thrown in for a scare, a thriller without a lot of edge, but that's okay in this case.
Now since nothing else is on, i'm watching "Melancholia" (2011) again. This movie is really cool, makes you think a lot and the music is phenomenal, it really makes the movie. Highly recommended!

Dammit MSNBC...they're moving Schultz to the weekend, and he's probably gonna be replaced by Ezra Klein.
Fucking bullshit, I was warming up to Ed.

Today I watched "Sublime" (2007). It was a horror/thriller about a guy who has something go wrong in the hospital while he's just in for a routine procedure. I was hoping for more from this movie, it felt more like an extended episode of "House". If you're bored, the concept is kind of interesting, but if you've got better stuff to do, definitely pass on this movie.

Today I watched "Blessed" (2004). Another Horror/Thriller based on "Rosemary's Baby"... for a movie about carrying Satan, this film was terribly boring and left me wanting a lot more. The last 15 minutes were okay, but the hour leading up to that was slow and predictable.

For me it was Freddy Got Fingered. The only movie I couldn't finish. I suffered through all but the last ten minutes. I've seen a lot of terrible movies, but that one just grated on me, I haven't seen waitress though, so i'll have to give that a try sometime.

that's funny... Freddy Got Fingered is one of my favorites of all time. But I generally enjoy very extreme things. It's actually funnier after watching it and then every now and then one scene or another will pop into my head and I just laugh at how ridiculous it is.

The Twilight "Saga" deserves a mention as a chick flick(s) which are torture for a man to endure. My wife and daughters love it and have watched it a gazillion times, ugh!

My aplogoies for the inactivity as of late. Amazon VERY busy. People must be spending their tax refunds. The other day I myself must have packed several hundred copies of the new God of War for PS3. And we have 8 lines and approximately 200 packers working on the day shift right now. Almost as busy as Christmas was...
Still on overtime tomorrow and have to work 11 hrs and be there at 5:30 am. Liking the job though and found out today you need 1800 hrs to be converted from temp to ft Amazon associate. So probably the end of May, which will be here before we know it.

no problem Dan. I wish I was in your place with too many hours. i'm only scheduled for 25 next week
as for Twilight, I generally like it. I'm not a "Twihard" or anything, it's not close to my favorite series, but I do enjoy it. Go figure.

I'm not a "Twihard" or anything, it's not close to my favorite series, but I do enjoy it. Go figure. I've been there Ryan with hours, worked at Sonic for 2 yrs with no hours to speak of and ridiculously low wages. Honestly, I don't know how we made it through that with that being our only income. We've just got to the point now where everything is caught up. Robbing Peter to pay Paul all that time. It is very stressful I know. You will find the right job and they will be lucky to have you Ryan. Keep looking for opportunities. I looked for 2 yrs before I found this job. SE Kansas is dreadful for decent employment and the employers know it and treat their help like slaves for the most part. Amazon is good if you can hang on long enough to be converted. As long as your numbers and attendence are good. My numbers are good and the only day I missed since I started was when my car broke down and I coudn't find anyone to take me. Only 2 of us are left from my class and we had 50. They do things like switch your shift from nights to days to see if you'll do it and weed people out. Strangely enough, this fullfillment center has the worst attendence of any Amazon has. I don't understand this, because the temp place has another 500 bodies they could call at a moment's notice. Morale is horrible there, especially on the day shift. Don't know why. They treat people pretty good, I think. Good things are coming for you right around the corner, Ryan. I believe that.

Tom Green is amazing and this is probably my favourite comedy bit of all time www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwZ4AUOAgDAbut I just found everything about that movie was too over the top and that none of it tied in together. Just a bunch of random stuff.
