Texas is kind of both, it's most southwestern, but can be considered the south in a lot of aspects. It's all about regional culture, a lot of which developed in the aftermath of the US Civil War.

I think for Canadian hockey fans, the south is a general reference to the expansion/moved teams from 1992 on. Although, to be honest as far as hockey goes, I consider Washington, Columbus and Colorado to be southern teams. I'm not sure how my brain works though, since I'd only think that in hockey terms.

Hawks did it! The best start in NHL History!
Saad is starting to learn...nice shorthanded goal. He got Niemi to hug the right post then got it in on the open left side.
Emery playing really well after that rough 1st outing of the season. Which is nice, because Crawford can fully heal and not try to rush back. Nice to see Hossa out there after the Hanson hit.

Preds shutout in back-to-back games... They've been shutout 3 times in the last two weeks.
Of course they also had 3 shutouts in the two weeks prior. Inconsistent?

Anyone in the States should be watching Preds vs Stars on NBCSN tonight. 2nd intermission right now and it's one hell of a game. Goals, hits, fights, blood... It's going to be intense when these teams are in a division together!

Legion NLHS3 first rounder Roman Josi leads the Preds to a 5-4 OT win. Josi had 2g, 2a and the national broadcast couldn't stop gushing about him. Maybe he won't be so much of a secret anymore and people can shutup about the Preds losing Suter.

Hey, I ain't complaining! Cole for Ryder and a 3rd Round Pick is a great return, considering that Ryder has 14 points in 19 games compared with Cole's 6 in 19 games!
