Cleveland NLHS Team Is Royal Team to be Called the KingsBy: Logan FitzPatrick CLEVELAND - Big news today coming with the relocation of the Lake Placid Olympians to the coast of Lake Erie. With five names in play, the Olympians ownership held a contest to see what the name would be, and many Clevelanders voted. The winning name gave the team a regal air about them - they are to be called the Kings. Justin Fox on the backstory behind the name: "See, as all Clevelanders SHOULD know, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is shaped like a pyramid. And what were buried in pyramids? Pharaohs. And what are pharaohs? KINGS!" A logo will be revealed within the next month. The color scheme is expected to be gold, silver, and red, traditional colors of royalty. The other finalist names were all used previously except one: Cleveland Rockers (defunct WNBA team), Lake Erie Monsters (AHL team), Cleveland Lumberjacks (IHL team), and Cleveland Lakers.

Pre-Move News: Moncton Trades 2 To Dallas Falk to Play in Cleveland next seasonBy: Logan FitzPatrick The Moncton Mariners, parent club of the soon-to-be Cleveland Kings, have announced a trade that will affect the Kings' roster. Mike Rupp and Cam Barker were shipped to the Dallas Pistols - parent club of the Odessa Prairie Dogs - today. In exchange, the Mariners received Justin Falk and the Philadelphia Legion's fourth round pick in 2012. The M's also announced the signing of Arron Asham to replace Rupp.

Olympians Move Finalized Kings Unveil Logo, JerseysBy: Logan FitzPatrick Cleveland Kings Beat Writer CLEVELAND - Moncton Mariners GM Justin Fox was in town today to announce that the Cleveland Kings' lease with Quicken Loans Arena was now final - unlike last year, when he tried to move the Nova Scotia Northern Lights to Drummondville, Quebec, only for arena issues to divert them to Lake Placid, New York, instead. "This is a great day for the Mariners organization and the City of Cleveland. With our farm team now in a solid market for years to come, we need not worry about shifting franchises anymore," said Fox in his press conference from the Q. Also revealed were the logo and jerseys. The logo is the Tudor Crown, but with the cross on the top removed because "it would be controversial," added Fox. "Religions would take offense." The jerseys, which contain the regal colors of red, silver, and gold, is devoid of the logo:
